Celtic Myth, Religion and Shamanism

Celtic Myth, Religion and Shamanism

Region: Nationwide
Location: Book available on Celtic Shamanism

For those interested in the authentic, indigenous and historical traditions of Celtic Shamanism,
we invite you to read "Celtic Myth and Religion: A Study of Traditional Belief" (McFarland Publishers, 2012) by Celtic scholar, writer, teacher and shamanic practitioner Sharon Paice MacLeod.

While many modern books present recent Neo-Occult traditions as native Celtic wisdom, this book is unique in placing Celtic shamanism in its historical context, and devoting a number of chapters to authentic Celtic shamanism.

Ms. MacLeod trained in Celtic Studies through Harvard University, and has studied the Celtic languages (ancient and modern), as well as the myths, wisdom texts, and folklore traditions.

She is a grant recipient from the Canada Council for the Arts, researching ancient music, song, chant and ritual relating to the living landscape - the Celtic Otherworld and the natural world.
